I am U.S. born, raised in middle class, raised catholic, and I do not belong to an indigenous heritage. One of my first jobs was working as a Behavior Therapist in schools, so I would often visit different schools. I noticed a wide variety of school conditions anywhere from basic supplies such as books to opportunities like college level preparation courses.
