PsyTechLab evolved from the Positive Psychology Lab at Antioch University Seattle, which helped shape a generation of strength-based, solution-focused, and humanistic clinicians. As the world became more digitally connected, we saw the need for a lab that could both honor our roots in strength-based clinical practice and embrace the challenges and opportunities of modern media and technology.
We’re here to explore how media, technology, and innovation can serve the core of our work—helping people thrive. At the same time, we remain grounded in what matters most—human connection, ethical practice, and strength-based care.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help individuals, families, communities and organizations flourish. We seek to advance mental healthcare and foster well-being by integrating human-centered, ethically grounded, and strength-based psychology with the evolving worlds of media, technology, and clinical science.
Our Vision
We envision a future where mental healthcare is as innovative as it is compassionate—where research informs practice, and technology enhances the human experience.
Our Core Values
Human-Centered Innovation
We prioritize people and relationships. Innovation should never come at the cost of empathy, dignity, or connection.
Ethical Integrity
We are guided by both professional ethics and deeper moral responsibility. Our work reflects transparency, respect, and humility.
Strength-Based Practice
We focus on what’s strong, not just what’s wrong. We aim to build on people’s values, skills, and potential.
Equity and Access
We are committed to inclusive and culturally responsive practices that make psychological care and education more accessible to all.
Collaboration and Curiosity
We value interdisciplinary partnership, lifelong learning, and intellectual humility. We believe that diverse perspectives—including disagreement—can spark deeper dialogue and growth when approached with openness and respect.
