Mental Ableism in Housing the Homeless

Annabelle Falloria is a 25-year-old heterosexual, cisgender female with no developmental disabilities, but with acquired chronic mental health illnesses. She is a proud middle-class Filipina American with no indigenous heritage. She identifies as agnostic and is a Canadian citizen with earned American citizenship. She is a part of the 2021 cohort at Antioch University Seattle and is currently a doctoral candidate for a PsyD in clinical psychology. This paper and presentation stem from her current work with a non-profit in Seattle centered around families facing homelessness. She thoroughly enjoys being a part of the Decoloniality & Social Privilege Awareness Initiative and looks forward to continuing research and interests in coloniality, Asian American psychology, and gender differences.
