About the Essays
This is a collection of essays written by first-year PsyD students at Antioch University Seattle during their Social Justice in Clinical Psychology course.
In their essays, students investigate an “-ism” (e.g. Classism, Racism) within a contained system (e.g. education, healthcare). Students explore the historical genesis of the “-ism”, investigate cultural norms that sustain the “-ism”, and articulate how clinical psychologists may act as agents of oppression or change.
