The Aggregate Model: Breaking the Dysconscious Ceiling of Clinical Case Conceptualization
The Aggregate Model: Breaking the Dysconscious Ceiling of Clinical Case Conceptualization has been published in the American Psychological Association‘s journal, Professional Psychology: Research and Practice. Developed over 15 years, this model offers a transformative approach to clinical case conceptualization by integrating historical and sociopolitical factors. It encourages clinicians to understand clients not only as individuals, but also within the broader context of intergenerational trauma, socially conferred privilege, and oppression. Although most existing literature is theoretical and professional guidelines tend to be aspirational, an urgent need remains to bridge the gap between ideals and practical implementation. The Aggregate Model directly responds to this challenge, offering clinicians a concrete, actionable structure for decolonial clinical case conceptualization. Readers are encouraged to incorporate The Aggregate Model into their clinical work, supervision, and teaching. The full article can be accessed here: https://lnkd.in/gf_uyEBk
