We are so excited about our upcoming social justice symposium. Please make sure you register and make plans to attend this free online event.
We will have some interesting presentations, one of which will be Neurodiversity and Social Action: Exploring Oppression and Liberation Through The Jungian Cognitive Functions, with Susana Gomez presenting.
This presentation explores oppression and its dismantling through the lens of the eight cognitive functions first proposed by Carl Gustav Jung. The presentation draws on situated electroencephalogram (EEG) research regarding these processes, psychoanalytic thought, and scenarios likely familiar to the audience.
Participants will become equipped to recognize each process as it arises dynamically in themselves and in groups, consider the role that each can play in both oppression and liberation, and deepen their capacity for dialogue and collaboration in service of the latter.
